A Great Soul
I woke up today and decided to check my email. The title had something to do with, "Do you remember Elder Kunz?" I did. I opened it up and to my surprise, there was a link to a news article explaining that he had passed away while serving in Tampico, Mexico. This elder was in my district. He was a handsome young man with a heart of gold. I would take the role of myself, before having converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ - and each time he taught from his heart. I am at a loss for words for what has happened. It did, however -- remind me that everyday is a blessing. It also reminded me of how grateful I am for the knowledge of a plan of happiness. I've never really lost anyone physically in my life that I've been close to, and I cried quite a bit this morning -- but understanding that this is not the end brought peace and comfort to my heart. I know that those feelings will be sent to his family as well, and they will be able to cope with his loss. I am grateful for my faith and I know I'll see Elder Kunz one day and he will tell me all about his experiences of having taught his brothers and sisters and his success in inviting them unto Christ.
